Yap, Caguioa, David Switch Places in Blockbuster Trade

Monday, April 01, 2013

James Yap and Mark Caguioa are the centers of a blockbuster deal consumma-
ted today.
Citing multiple sources, four teams, San Mig Coffee, Ginebra, GlobalPort, and Talk 'n Text, completed a behemoth trade that would see James Yap, Mark Caguioa, and Gary David playing for new clubs.

In the agreed upon deal, GlobalPort will ship David to TNT for Jared Dillinger and Harvey Carey. The Batang Pier would then ship Carey and a first round pick to Ginebra for Rico Maierhofer. The Barangay will give up Caguioa to Talk 'n Text for Larry Fonacier, Pamboy Raymundo, and two first round picks, but Ginebra will get James Yap for Chris Ellis. Aside from Ellis, the Mixers will get GP's two second-round picks for Jerwin Gaco and TNT's Ryan Reyes for Joe Devance and a first round pick.

San Mig Coffee coach Tim Cone is raring to see Reyes and Ellis play for the Mixers. Ginebra coach Alfrancis Chua, on the other hand, is delighted that he will finally get a chance to coach Yap but at the same time sad to see Caguioa go. GlobalPort coach Junel Baculi is hoping that Dillinger and Maierhofer could change the franchise's future. TNT coach Norman Black said that he will immediately give Caguioa the starting role, relegating Jayson Castro to the sixth man. Black also noted on having David at the start.

One more thing... Gotcha! HAPPY APRIL FOOLS' DAY! This is a prank. Just take this with a grain of salt.
